The information she provided was interesting, but not so much that it detracted from the plot of the story. At Serenity Yoga, Kate teaches Viniyoga, a style of yoga known for its ability to adapt yoga to the needs of each individual student. Outside of fascinating characters and an interesting plot, I love it when I read a book for enjoyment and learn something. Like her protagonist, she also has a German Shepard. In 2000, she left the corporate world, became a certified yoga therapist and opened her own studio, Whole Life Yoga. Tracy Weber’s background includes work as a chemical engineer, an organizational consultant and a group manager at Microsoft.

Despite her commitment to her dog Bella, she has a commitment phobia and spends some of the romantic getaway trying to avoid discussing the M-word with her boyfriend. This illness requires a complicated feeding routine three times a day to keep this adopted dog alive. She obsesses about her dog, Bella, who is suffering from EPI, Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency.
